New hair!

Hi guys! Here's a quick short outfit post from when I did my hair at O2 Hair Studio over at Central. It was almost painful to depart from my pink hair, but my hair stylist Rudy convinced me that a darker colour was much more manageable and better for the hair's future... So I (tearfully) bade farewell.

Read on for more rambling and details on the 'fit.

Disneyland at Christmas,

Hey guys! Time for a day-out diary. This time I headed to Disneyland on a Sunday and during Christmas attempting to prove that it is in fact possible to enjoy yourself while mingling with half of Hong Kong cramped in one small theme park. But I kid. It wasn't as bad as I thought! Check out what I wore (of course) and more below.

Rooftop Affair at the Pawn,

Hey guys! First post of 2014, and happy new year!!

I'm doing a quick throwback to last year November, when I attended the Pawn's first ever Rooftop Market! It was an amazing day with loads of amazing food and drinks, plus a great chance for me to discover awesome goodies like Louella Odie's gorgeous bags, Nutcase Fashion's bright, chic and affordable accessories, Portovelo's charity shoes (the new Toms!) and more...

Tis the season to be jolly,

Hey guys! Merry Christmas! Hope you all are having a wonderful holiday season. This I think shall be my last post... of the year! (Did I manage to fool you there? haha) This outfit was taken when I went to Claudie Pierlot's store opening at IFC, I even curled my hair and put on some lippie! (Received some love and hate about this so I'm rather on the fence...)

Square pins and round holes,

Shirt from Malaysia
Chevignon dungarees
Korean shoes
Bag gifted

Hey guys! Quick post of outfit from the day my friend and I visited the Hong Kong & China Tattoo Convention! It was eyeopening to see all the local and international tattoo artists all under one roof showing off their artwork! Really made us crave for some ourselves (almost couldn't manage to stop ourselves from getting one on the spot.)

This look was pretty random, but it turned out alright I think! I had to hold up the giant cuffed ends of the pants with bobby pins haha that was pretty hilarious.

Hope you guys are well!

Those who wander,

Hey guys! Those of you who live in the 'Kong should be pretty familiar (and probably not so impressed) by Cheung Chau by now. But recently I've taken a day trip into CC just to be away from the concrete jungle for a few hours, and surprisingly it was a lot more fun than I thought it would be!

To my advantage, the weather was amazing that day. We headed in around midday after catching the slow ferry on our way there (make sure you head to the rear end or the top deck of the ferry to catch some sea breeze!) and we basically tried our best not to eat everything and enter a food coma... But other than eating we did manage to explore the island for some beautiful sceneries and photo spots.

Things I recommend you should try (to eat): giant fishballs with satay sauce, deep fried fishballs/squid balls/cheese balls (always a queue), local desserts (always involving either sago, mango, fresh fruit or grass jelly), baked oyster with cheese bacon & onions (OMG ORGASMIC?!), some western restaurant that has really good escargot & lamb chops, oh and of course polish off with some chinese herbal tea if you're up for the challenge. When it gets late, somewhere around midnight or so, some food carts will pop up outside the ferry pier so if you're lucky make sure you get some weird variations of sushi, fish meat and cabbage, and of course fish fin soup in a bowl. (They do sound extremely unappetising when in english huh.... but trust me they're yum!)

Even on weekends Cheung Chau isn't all that crowded, so if you're interested in a bit of biking, walking around small streets and alleyways exploring local shops and having some low-end price high-end taste food, then you should definitely give it a go!

Till next time,

Not broken just bent,

Hey guys! Continuing with the long overdue crossover shoot me and my bestie did earlier, here's the second set of looks! Plenty of menswear action going on right there, with most items being vintage and/or brandless so I'm unable to make a list of the items worn.

I was so in love with the location seriously. And hope you guys are doing good with the days getting chillier! I hope I'll be able to do a lot more updates more frequently soon... ahh feels like I've been completely disconnected with the network lately.

Baby are you down?

Bossini light down jacket
Korean Star Wars one piece dress
Sperry x Penfield boat shoes
Jansport backpack

Hey guys! The cold is nigh... But every winter I'm usually the one braving the frosty winds with a denim jacket and shorts, telling myself that yes, somehow those calf-length boots are good enough to keep me warm in a 10 degree environment (about as cold as the 'Kong will ever get...) Who could blame me though? It's not as if down jackets or big furry coats or all those multi-color sport coats were ever my thing, and they were so heavy too.

c/o of Bossini, I discovered a light down jacket that literally rolls up into the size smaller than a 1L bottle, and had none of the weight of the usual down/feather jackets. I took up the challenge to steer away from the usual tees and jeans inside the jacket and tried a completely different vibe (kinda hobo/skater).

I think the beanie made the whole thing work in a weird way that I never thought it would! Thoughts?

Monki-ing around,

Hey guys! Sorry for the long ten days break. How's everyone doing? Among other things, I've done a collaboration recently with Chibi Lam of Little Hepburn & my fave photographer Gabrielle Salonga for a shoot with Monki's AW13 collection. We had so much fun, and here's the first look.

On me:
Peplum jacket
Leopard patterned skinny jeans

On Chibi:
Beige long coat
Kitty semi-sheer sleeveless shirt
Mustard pleated skirt

c/o Monki's AW13 collection. Accessories stylists' own.

It's a wonder how much a plain white tee can do, and it was almost a challenge for me to try and pair a white tee with practically everything and anything under the sun. Patterned jeans are of course a classic, toning it down with an amazing structured peplum jacket in black. Oh and those white gentleman oxfords are my new favourite. It makes any look instantly classy, and the sneaky 3cm heel gives me that boost but can still be considered as flats.

For the lady-like Chibi, I decided to go with a more girly look, pairing the hard to match mustard yellow with the all time classic beige and black. You can't really ever go wrong with beige/black/white anyway right? Glam it up with some sparkles on the neckline on any dark shirts and slip on those strappy heels, we are going some place posh.

Stay tuned for the other looks in a couple of days, and check out Chibi's take on this shoot!

Much love,
xx
